What does it cost to launch an NFT collection?

Two ways out of the Studio
Building costs nothing. You only pay at the moment you decide how the collection launches, and the two prices are different for one reason: on VOLYA we earn a share of every mint afterwards, and elsewhere we do not.

The fee table
The fee follows the size of the collection and roughly doubles as the supply doubles. Publishing also costs about 0.7 TON of chain gas, which you reimburse; an export has no gas because nothing is deployed.

How it works, step by step
- Open Forge. app.volya.world/studio in a desktop browser. Nothing to install, no account needed to start.
- Upload your layers. At least three — background, body, accessories. Animated TGS, WEBM, GIF and PNG mix freely in one collection, and alpha channels are respected.
- Set the odds. Give every trait a weight. Forge shows the resulting rarity live, so you see how many Legendaries a run produces before you commit.
- Preview with Generate. Free, runs in your browser, downloads a ZIP with the first 100 artworks and a manifest of every combination. It is a preview — see the FAQ below.
- Choose how it launches. Publish gives you a mint page inside Telegram and 90% of every mint. Take it elsewhere gives you every file, rendered and stored permanently, with no contract from us.
Questions people actually ask
How much does it cost to launch an NFT collection on VOLYA?
Under 100 tokens it is free apart from about 0.7 TON of gas. Above that, see the table: 30 TON up to 1,000 tokens, 60 up to 4,000, 120 up to 10,000, and so on. Above 25,000 the listed price is negotiable.
What do creators earn from each mint?
90% of every mint goes straight to your wallet, plus royalties on resales. VOLYA keeps 10%. No monthly fee, and no share of work you did elsewhere.
Can I launch somewhere other than VOLYA?
Yes. Choose Take it elsewhere and you receive every token rendered, metadata with working image links, and all files stored permanently on Arweave. Point any contract or marketplace at them. We deploy nothing and take no share.
Why does that cost more than publishing here?
Because of what happens afterwards. Publishing on VOLYA is cheaper since we earn 10% of each mint; if you launch elsewhere we earn nothing, so the difference is paid once, up front. For 4,000 tokens: 180 TON instead of 60.
Isn't the free Generate button enough?
Only below 100 tokens. Generate runs in your browser, and a browser cannot render thousands of animations — it stops at 100 artworks, writes metadata for those 100, and lists every remaining combination in a manifest without art. Under 100 tokens that is a complete collection and costs nothing. Above it, the full render runs on our servers.
Who owns the collection contract?
VOLYA holds it while the collection is minting — that is what lets buyers mint on demand without you signing every sale. Held, not kept: once the collection sells out, or whenever you decide to end the mint, ownership is transferred to the dead address. After that nobody can mint another item from that collection, us included.
Ending the mint is your decision. It needs your Telegram login, because the burn cannot be undone, and there is a 24-hour window to cancel before it runs.
What can I upload?
Animated TGS (Lottie), WEBM, GIF and PNG, mixed freely. A WEBM accessory can sit over a TGS body; alpha is respected.
Free under 100 — what is the catch?
None, but the delivery differs. Below 100 tokens the export comes as a zip you download and host yourself; above it we upload everything to permanent storage and hand you a manifest of links. The reason is honest: permanent storage is paid per byte, and we cannot give away something we pay for. A zip costs us nothing, so free can stay free.
Where do the files live?
On Arweave — paid once, stored permanently. Nothing depends on VOLYA staying online: every URL in your manifest resolves without us.
Do I need to write code?
No script, no smart contract. A desktop browser, your layers and a TON wallet.
